HOLIDAY CAKE BALLS…

Coated in white chocolate and stuffed with a doughy strawberry center…

This recipe screams decadence, is low maintenance, and is indulgent as hell!

A combo we love

And because we’re in the height of the holidays, this recipe is THE dessert to blow your guests (or Santa) away with and here’s why…

There is NO baking required

just mix the ingredients

melt the chocolate

dip them in

and dress them up with the cutest festive holiday sprinkles.

Done, baby, done!

And thank goodness for these juicy California Giant strawberries because they really do transform these cake balls!

What’s so wildly wonderful about this strawberry batter is that it not only tastes like cake, but it also somehow takes on the essence of pop-tarts or strawberry cheesecake - it's divine! With each bite you’re left wondering, ‘wait, are these pop-tarts, or is this cheese cake or BOTH?!’…

It’s both ;)

That’s the beauty of these cake balls - layers of flavor melt into one, creating a flavor that only you can truly describe.

All in all, we do know one thing for sure - these strawberry cake balls are the dessert you didn’t even know your party needed  until they took their first delicious bite.

Cheers to the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024!

xx Marie

Strawberry Holiday Cake Balls

Makes 12

1/3 cup applesauce

2 tbsp cream cheese

1/3 cup vanilla yogurt
1/4 cup coconut or brown sugar
1.5 - 2 cups almond flour, depending on how doughy you like it

3/4 cup California Giant Berries Strawberries, diced

1 tbsp sprinkles

Top with:

1 cup white chocolate, melted

Extra sprinkles

Start by mixing all the ingredients into a medium size mixing bowl, except for the strawberries.

Once combined, gently fold in the strawberries. If the dough is too wet, add more almond flour. Roll into balls and place in the fridge to set for 2 hours.

When they’re ready, dip the balls into the chocolate and place them on a cooling rack. Sprinkle with the sprinkles immediately before hardening. Repeat until all the balls are coated and sprinkled. Pop in the fridge to set for 30 minutes.

Enjoy and store in the fridge or freezer.
