Spicy Avocado and Lime Toast

This Spicy Avocado and Lime Toast is the perfect in-between-meal snack! I'm a constant snacker and I usually opt for an oat bar of some sort but its satisfaction is short lived, while I’m back feeling ravenous within the hour.  That is why I love to have this spicy avocado toast as my main snack as it is so healthy and absolutely delicious!  I am an avocado fiend and I welcome any chance to add creamy avocado slices to any meal!  While the buttery avocado rests on a slice of toasted bread (I use GF), the fresh lime juice and olive oil is drizzled atop the avocado slices creating a delicious tangy flavor.  I love adding hot pepper flakes and a sprinkle of sea salt to elicit even more flavor from the creamy avocado. This simple toast is upgraded with thin slices of radish that adds a lovely heat.  I cannot get enough of this toast!

The beautiful part about this snack is that the healthy fats from the creamy avocado leaves you satisfied and full!  Avocados are high in fiber and heart healthy monounsaturated fat. The fiber and fat in avocados makes it a perfect ‘fill you up’ food.  The monounsaturated fat sends signals to your brain telling you that your stomach is full.  Feel free to read more on the wonderful health benefits of avocados in the pantry section here.  They really are a phenomenal food and combined with the toast, lime and radish, makes for the best afternoon snack or breakfast!
